 …Intended for all school and central office leaders. The Stanford Executive Program for School Leaders – Provides you with foundational knowledge about:

  • Policy with respect to English Learners
  • Characteristics of Immigrant ELs
  • Second Language Acquisition Theory and Research

Provides you with practical knowledge about effective ELL practices in schools:

  • Content area instruction for ELs
  • English Language Development instruction
  • ELs & Accountability
  • ELs & Assessment

Helps you:

  • Evaluate teachers’ instruction of ELs
  • Identify gaps in EL programs, and
  • Provide guidance on best practices for ELs
  • You can work with the materials at your own pace or in whatever way that your district recommends. The online modules can be used at any time and any place where you have access to a computer and an internet connection.
